Attendees at the rescheduled ribbon cutting for Brookfield Village’s Phase 2 were greeted by the developer’s project manager, Allan Rothman, saying, “With the input and support from the Town of Brookfield, we have built incredible buildings of luxury apartments and terrific commercial space that are in high demand because of the location, design and amenities and we look forward to working with the town on the next stage of our development”. Economic Development Commission Chairman Jim Fisher mentioned this project brings the town one step closer to having a downtown hub, a destination for shoppers, renters, and families, saying, “these new buildings have also spurred additional development in the area, which is great for the entire community”. First Selectman Steve Dunn added, “The town is very happy to welcome our latest addition to our downtown area. We have been working for many years to attract the type of development that Brookfield Village brings; they have built a beautiful facility that meets the desires of our resident to have market rate apartments that will appeal to those who are looking for the finest in finishes and amenities in a walkable downtown. They have already rented out 75% of their commercial space and we look forward to our residents enjoying and frequenting these new business in the downtown”.
