Emerson to build $49 million global headquarters for its Branson assembly technologies product line in Brookfield

Brookfield, CT, April 4, 2019 – Global technology and engineering company Emerson announced it will build a new $49 million global headquarters in Brookfield for its Branson welding, assembly and cleaning technologies.

“We are very pleased that Emerson has chosen Brookfield as its new global headquarters for its Branson assembly technologies product line that is used in the automotive, medical, food and beverage, consumer packaging and electronics industries,” said Steve Dunn, First Selectman of Brookfield. “It will bring over 200 jobs to Brookfield and is exactly the type of firm Brookfield is looking to attract.”

The new 140,000-square-foot building will include state-of-the-art laboratories, offices, manufacturing space, and a customer experience center.

“Emerson is grateful to the state of Connecticut and Town of Brookfield for their support as we make this critical investment in our Branson portfolio and our employees,” said John Meek, president of assembly technologies for Emerson. “We look forward to continuing our role as an employer of choice and a strong partner to our friends and neighbors in this community.” Brookfield has given Emerson an incentive package that will assist the company, said Jim Fisher, chairman of the Economic Development Commission for Brookfield.
